This bench is made of boatwood and metal – all the wood here has been reclaimed from decommissioned Chinese sailing junks. Stripped from the hulls, decking and beams of boats, each piece of timber has its own unique story to tell, with a lifetime of cracks, oil marks, different textures and varying colourations thanks to decades of exposure to the elements and high seas. Further natural cracking may appear over time, but we believe this just adds even more character to each piece… the start of your very own lifetime of stories told through your furniture.

This item which pairs beautifully weathered vintage boat wood with hand-treated metal detailing – a distinctively different design that channels both old-world nautical charm and up-to-the-minute urban grit.
